New Clothing Label coming soon!

Posted by Michael on September 22, 2008

It seems like i have been thinking about starting my new clothing label for such a long time, but its now moving from just thinking to things happening. The idea of the label is that i will be making t-shirts of a premium quality, for the high end market. I have not decided if i want to have them exclusive at my store, or have them put in retailers stores, but i can decide that later, all in good time :)

Need a new car: But What?

Posted by Michael on September 21, 2008

I am looking to get a new car, but i do not know what to get!

There is such a broad choice. Ranging from different prices, i do not know what to get. I could go for the following, i have grouped them so i can explain why i’d want each one:

BMW 3 Series
Mercesdes C Class
Audi A3
Audi A4

Ford Fiesta
Ford Focus
Suzuki Swift
Ford Mondeo

OK, so i have grouped them into 2 groups. Why? Seems pretty obvious really. If i go for one of the more expensive cars, i will probably be getting an older model, 2005 – 2007 most likely. If i go for a Fiesta/Focus etc. i will be able to get more or less a new car, and cost of ownership will be lower (petrol, insurance etc.) I have been looking at the interiors of the cars, and you definatly get more in one of the “cheaper” cars as standard than the more expensive cars; You really are paying for the badge, and paying alot! To add into the mix, the New Fiesta is out next month, and it looks amazing! So i have no idea which car to get, do i go for badge, or not?

New broadband: O2 (16MB Version)

Posted by Michael on September 21, 2008

I finally changed my broadband from Plusnet to O2. Plusnet used to be great, no restrictions on downloads, great speed, no problems. Then the “allowences” started…They were fine for a year or so, but Plusnet kept changing their products, offering different things for different amount of money. To cut a long story short, they were offering me 15GB of “premium bandwidth” (15gb downloads between 8am – midnight) for £19.99. The price i have no problem with, it was the restrictions.

Plusnet previously offered more of an allowence, and their ‘off peak’ time was much longer, meaning you could download eaiser, they now only offer 8 hours of when most people will be asleep.

O2 offer “unlimited downloads” with a fair usage policy which is common these days. At 3 different speeds, 8mb as standard, 16mb and 20mb. All come with unlimited downloads, and use ADSL2+ technology so if you live in an area which supports it and are a BT customer then you can enjoy faster speeds. I also got it cheaper since i am an O2 customer, £10/month for ADSL2+ technology at 16mb. half the price of my old Plusnet with a brand new router. i will take that thank you :D

We will see how long the ‘unlimited downloads’ lasts.
