Spain 1 – 0 Portugal

Posted by Michael on June 29, 2010

Attention Everyone….If you look up at the sky and see a star it is not a star. Its the beaming smile i have on my face

Spain beat Portugal 1-0 to book their place into the Quater Final against Paraguay. The game is another evening kickoff, and will be on Saturday on BBC if you are in the UK.

Tonights game was great. It was hard for Spain to play, Portugal were yet another team who play 10-men behind the ball against Spain, or any other good team. They never tried to attack, and when they did it was too late. Spain dominated possesion, had a few good shots at goal, created more and deserved to win. Portugal had the odd half chance on the break which is all they could manage. Cristiano Ronaldo bearly got a kick of the ball.

I said i would go to Madrid if Spain got to the Semi Final..Well they might! I dont know if i can even go, you cant fly to Madrid from Newcastle so i would have to fly from somewhere else, which makes things more complicated, not ideal when doing something last minute.

Spain vs Portugal: Big game tonight!

Posted by Michael on June 29, 2010

It is the big one tonight! Spain vs Portugal!! :) I am nervous and excited for the game, it brings back memories of 2004 where we lost 1-0 to Portugal.

I am nervous because Spain have only played well at times, the first 2 games they played well but lost the first, the last one they played average but won, the defence looks a bit shaky. There are other questions such as is Torres fit? He doesnt look it so should he play? Xabi Alonso also picked up a knock as did Albiol, I dont think Sergio Busquets is good enough either, hes made some mistakes.

All questions will be answered at 19.30 when the game kicks off :)

Spain vs Portugal on Tuesday Night

Posted by Michael on June 26, 2010

Hello lovely blog readers!! :)

I woke up today happy, last night Spain won their vital game against Chile 2-1, and got through to the last 16, where they will face neighbours Portugal. They didnt play particuarly well, but a win is a win, and hopefully will play better in the next game.

Its a grudge match, the last time they played in competition it was Euro 2004 in Portugal, where Portugal beat a poor Spain 1-0.

Tonight there is the crap games of the round, Uruguay vs South Korea @ 3PM, and tonight USA vs Ghana @ 7.30PM.

Spain 0 – 1 Swiss: What the HELL happened?!

Posted by Michael on June 16, 2010

I cant believe it! Spain lose their opening game of the world cup! This really is a disaster! That means, if my maths is correct, they could actually go out even if they win their last 2 games! Chile won today, which means they can beat Switzerland, and then if Switzerland beat Honduras they will both have 6 points. Spain can only get a maximum 6 points. We need goals!!!

It was a good game, apart from the finishing. Spain just couldnt break down the Swiss defence, could not get a clear chance; the Swiss got one and bundled the ball into the net. Spain probably should of had a penalty with a foul on David Silva; Iniesta also got fouled by the last man and won a free kick and their player should of been sent off and wasnt.

Sergio Busquets didnt play well, he was probably the worst of the lot. But all the players who matter didnt look 100%, Iniesta and Xavi have had injury problems, Torres came on but didnt make an impact, and when he did David Villa didnt seem to touch the ball for about 15 minutes!

Spain need to improve, they didnt look the team that started in Euro 2008, despite having most of the same players, the same players who hammered Poland 6-0 the other week.

Spain’s World Cup Begins Tomorrow

Which Spain Shirt should i wear tomorrow?

Tomorrow is the day, the first day of the World Cup :P It all kicks off at 3pm, Spain’s first game against Switzerland. I really hope they play well, they need to bring something to the world cup. All other teams apart from Germany have been pretty poor.

I also hope they do well because i have been bigging them up for ages, Lets hope they make easy work of the group, most the other teams have not.

My Spain Flags: I Custom Made One! :)

Posted by Michael on June 11, 2010

Hello Blog! :)

Football Fever has hit!!! Are you all excited for the world cup? I am! You probably guessed that. Today i custom printed a Spain flag. It took quite a while to do, but i think it turned out great! Its special, because its my own design, so you cannot buy this! :P La Furia Roja (The Red Fury) and Vamos España are the slogans, and a list of all of the squad is on the yellow part. This looks great if i do say so myself :P

The other flag at my window is a bought printed one, still cool, but not as cool as mine ;)

What do you think?

Today, “It” has come :)

Hello lovely blog readers! How you doing? :)

I am good, let me tell you about my day.

Today when going to work it took aaaaaaages. They are doing something to the road i go on, and closed a lane. I was in the lane which was open, and the lane which was closed the cars had to get in my lane. There is a rule, which is, you indicate, and you wait until someone lets you in, this is the person BEHIND you, you dont try and get into a lane in front of another car, it isnt how its done.

Anyway this driver tried it on me. He was more or less alongside me, with a car in front of myself and his lane closing in on him. I had a look at his car, he didnt indicate, and thought he was just going to jump ahead of me. We came sooo close! I am not kidding if i had my window open i could of reached into his car. What a fucking tosser he was! I cant stand the ignorant twats on the road, he was an ugly middle aged freak, i actually cant believe how close he was, i almost went up onto the curb, but there was no way i would let him passed.

Here is a crappy image i made to show you.

Anyway, i was mad, fuming in fact. I was already in a hurry, i thought my special delivery was going to come, and i wanted to be home for it.

It did not come….Then, around 5pm, it did!

It is the shirt i have wanted for ages, since the first time i saw it. It is the Spain away GK Shirt, the blue one, the one Iker Casillas seems to always wear instead of the green one. I felt like a very small child at Christmas! :D

This has come all the way from Spain, and i am quite impressed with the delivery really, or probably just happy that i have it :D

Its probably the first and only one in the UK! That is so cool. I know this because i have been looking around online for weeks and nobody had it! Even one store in Barcelona who i am in contact with said they could not get it. Well now i do!

Here it is, this is better than any D&G, Prada or anything else, a special import for me! :D

I am a happy, happy boy :P

Spain 6 – 0 Poland

Posted by Michael on June 8, 2010

What a game!!! Spain won 6-0, and played really good. Iniesta played for 38 minutes, and was so impresive, setting up a goal like only he can for David Silva and the first for David Villa. Iniesta was taken off as a precaution, he may have a thigh strain, and was replaced by Pedro.

There were also goals for Xabi Alonso, Cesc, a first goal for Pedro and maybe the biggest goal of the night, for a retuning Fernando Torres :D

A nice way to finish off the warm up games.

Spain vs Poland

Posted by Michael on June 8, 2010

Hello Blog readers :)

Today it is another Spain warmup game, and the final one before they go to South Africa. It is against Poland, tonight live on TVE from Murcia.

It all kicks off at 21.00 UK time :)

Spain 1 – 0 South Korea

Posted by Michael on June 3, 2010

Yes, Spain beat South Korea 1-0 thanks to a late but great Jesús Navas goal. It was a pretty boring game, Spain hit the bar, and a few dubious decisions were in the game (this is South Korea we’re talking about) but it was an average performance from a 2nd string Spain, Fernando Llorente didnt really get much service, and was quiet up front on his own. Most the play came from down the right with Navas and captain for the day Sergio Ramos.

David Villa, Pedro, Xavi and Xabi Alonso all came on for a while, and Victor Valdes got his first cap, well done him. He did look strange in that green Spain GK top :P

Poland is next which is played in Murcia on Tuesday night.
