Election Day Thursday 6th May

Posted by Michael on Tuesday 4th May, 2010

Hola  Blog!

Have you got your intellectual hat on today? I have :P Well i sent off my vote today, we get 2 votes, 1 for the local ward, and one for Newcastle Central. I voted for the same party on both cases i wont say who ;)

Do you care about the election? Do you care who wins? I do, but still undecided on who i would actually want in power, they are all terrible, and i dont really believe what they say:

Lib Dems – First £10,000 income would be tax free, sounds great, but i dont think they would be able to do it closing the loopholes at the top which the top earners get. That means they would need to find somewhere else to get the shortfall from, maybe raising the 20% tax rate? Who knows. That would be a disaster for anyone on a decent salary.

Labour – Well look at Gordon Brown. Is he really the person you want to see fronting the country? USA has Obama; The other Europeans have more powerful looking people, and we have Brown. Not only that, its Labour who got us in this mess, not to mention that 3 of their MPs are up on criminal charges for the whole expenses scandal, and will probably get legal aid which we have to pay for.

Conservative – They have a tory past of only favouring the super rich, they claim to have changed, but its really hard to believe them. David Cameron seems to gloss over figures e.g. immigration figures, how many their limit would be which they want.

I would never vote for one of the smaller parties. Not because its basically throwing your vote away, but their ideas are just insane, racial, or just things i wouldnt want to support.

Its probably going to be a hung parliment, which is the worst outcome i think. I also think if that happens, we will have another election a few weeks/months down the line.

Basshunter on Weakest Link (voted off first)

Posted by Michael on Monday 3rd May, 2010

Hello Blog readers :)

Did you watch The Weakest Link earlier today? It was a special celebrity “popstars” edition. It was funny, Natasha from Atomic Kitten won :o

Basshunter was on, and even though he did not get any questions wrong, he was voted off first, by lots of people! booo!! Poor Jonas!

Other people who were on were Bashy, Kelle Bryant, Bearnie Nolan, Richard from Right Said Fred, J from 5ive and a few others.

Terrible Jacket!!

May Day Bank Holiday Monday

Posted by Michael on Monday 3rd May, 2010

Hello Blog readers :)

How was your day? Did you have it off work? I bet you all did! Well the world of the T Shirt designers do not have such things :P I had a bit of work to do today, but at least it means less work to do tomorrow :)

Had some weird weather today…It’s May, and it was actually hailstoning before! Now the sky is blue and the sun is shining, but still looks cold.

Just watched a film, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which has Russell Brand in it. Its not bad actually, not the worst thing on TV on a Bank holiday anyway :D
